  • provides support to both the Area Office staff and Location staffs regarding general Information Technology issues.
  • works with the Office of the Chief Information Office (OCIO) as liason to the Area and Location staffs.
  • serves as the Midwest Area IT Security Officer.
  • acts as liason to the ARS Telecommunications Specialists.
  • provides assistance to Area and Location staffs regarding Internet useage, Internet access, and web authoring. This includes interpreting directives and finding answers upon request.
  • oversees entrance to ARSNet for the Midwest Area.
  • administers the Area Office Local Area Network, including web services, firewall, NFC access, etc.
  • provides hardware and software assistance to users.
  • works closely with OCIO participating on various IT task forces.
  • serves as the Area NFC Security Officer providing NFC access and IDs on an as-needed basis (this does not include Credit Card IDs, ARIS IDs and Passwords, or IAS IDs and Passwords).
